„mobivention has already been active with the development of apps for LOTTO companies since 2016. Since then, we have programmed 17 apps for nine LOTTO companies. We have also been able to significantly increase the revenue share in recent years. Now we have decided to underline our commitment in this area by becoming a member of the European Lotteries Association,“ explains mobivention CEO Dr. Hubert Weid, aka Dr. App, explains the decision. The starting signal was given in 2016 by winning a public tender for LOTTO Bayern. This resulted in the first ticket preparation app called SÄPP. This was subsequently the inspiration for a whole series of other ticket preparation apps for a number of other LOTTO companies (Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, Schleswig-Holstein, Berlin and Saxony-Anhalt). Versions of each of these apps are available for iOS in the Apple App Store and for Android in the Google Play Store. The second app for LOTTO Bavaria, the STÄPP service terminal app, was developed in parallel. This is preinstalled on a 15″ Android tablet and installed in the LOTTO wall at the acceptance points. There, game tracks are created, transferred to an online shopping cart and played at the cash terminal.
