Staatliche Toto-Lotto GmbH Baden-Württemberg (abbreviation: LOTTO BW) is the state lottery company in Baden-Württemberg. The smart device app is used to prepare lottery tickets at a self-service terminal in Baden-Württemberg’s LOTTO retail outlets.

Requirements for the LOTTO BW Smart Device App
The app is used to prepare lottery tickets at a self-service terminal in the LOTTO retail outlet. The ticket is easily and intuitively prepared at the terminal and added to a shopping cart. This shopping cart can be printed, and the customer receives a barcode for each ticket. The customer then takes these barcodes to the register to pay. There, the customer also receives a receipt for claiming winnings. The app contributes to the digitalization and substitution of paper with an electronic medium.
The intuitive operation is designed to help lottery players fill in their lottery ticket, avoid mistakes and save time by saving number combinations.
As of October 2024, approximately 2,500 terminals equipped with the solution are in use. Once the rollout is complete, more than 3,000 terminals are scheduled to be installed at LOTTO retail locations in Baden-Württemberg.
In the meantime, a derivative of the LOTTO kompakt solution has been developed for small retail outlets with a limited selection of lottery tickets.
Opinion on the project
We have once again implemented our second app for ticket preparation with our long-standing partner mobivention. With their expertise, they came up with many creative solutions, especially for short-term problems, and once again delivered an excellent app.
